OSLO (Reuters) – Some marine life thrives on oil bubbling up naturally from the seabed even though it cannot cope with giant single leaks like from BP’s ruptured well in the Gulf of Mexico, experts say.
Natural seeps from thousands of spots from the Pacific Ocean to the North Sea account for about 45 percent of all oil entering the oceans in a typical year, according to the U.S. National Academy of Sciences. The rest is from leaks caused by people.

Amazing article that shows that plants are able to remember and think on a variety of favored subjects including… light and shade. This furthers my hypothesis that vegans are just as evil as the rest of us but can’t hear their plants screaming. I bet they remember when their neighbor was cut too!

In a bold move a US University surveyed incoming students to determine the detrimental effects of ‘helicopter’ parenting ie. parenting that never lets the child be themselves without help.
It was indicated from the tests that these children fare quite terribly in life.
The results show having so-called “helicopter parents” was associated
with being dependent, neurotic and less open, a slew of personality
traits that are generally thought of as undesirable.
