Startpage in your firefox url bar

I got over using the url bar because its googleyeballed all the time. So i asked startpage … the worlds only secure internet search engine if their is a way to make them the default for the browser up there.

They said YES :

Type in the browser: about:config
Filter on: keyword.URL
Replace the Google string into: http://startpage.com/do/metasearch.pl?language=english&cat=web&query=

alternately you can also use the https: to create a direct secure search query in the first instance.

This way you don’t have to be concerned with spooky statists snooping your most basic of information.

Its not the single searches that you do that is telling… your public profile is built from all you do online.

Keeping it real.

World’s slowest Porsche, still faster than my car

The video on this one is priceless for delivery.Check this post World’s slowest Porsche, still faster than my car from Hack a Day:

Well, maybe the title is not so true. This “Porsche” GT3‘s construction is a bit unorthodox, the chassis looks to be aluminum tubing, with bicycle tires and other man-powered parts for propulsion. The body is entirely plastic and tape, yeah…gold…foil…tape. Hey, when you really really want to turn someones head.

Regardless, the car even comes complete with working lights, horn, doors, trunk, and lexan windows. Sure it will never go 0 to 60 (yet), but the mileage is amazing! Follow an amusing video of it after the rift.
